Description Of Duties

  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of the Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Report directly to the Program Director and the Dean, Health Sciences Division.
  • Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of twelve and one half (12.5) office hours per week.
  • Develop and maintain course syllabi and materials.
  • Teach collaboratively within the Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Aid with student advisement; committee work for the Program and the College.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or the Dean, Health Sciences Division.
  • Responsible for didactic and laboratory teaching, including maintaining learning management system and keeping student feedback current.
  • Supervise clinical instruction, perform clinical evaluations, and advise students.
  • Facilitate and maintain communication between assigned clinical facility and the Clinical Coordinator.
  • Participation in state society events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director of Radiologic Technology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT (R) certification.
  • Three (3) years full-time clinical experience.
  • A strong commitment to professional advancement in current trends in Allied Health Education.
  • One (1) year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program.
  • Proficient in curriculum development, instruction methodologies, and construction of assessment tools.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs.
  • Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, education, or related field.
  • Teaching experience in an Associate Degree program.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems.
