Arizona Western College seeks a Professor of Welding to guide students from the classroom to the workforce through hands-on instruction, mentorship, and real-world learning experiences.
About the Role
You will teach 15 equated load hours per semester (including material and preparation time), develop and grade exams, submit student grades, support strategic planning initiatives, and perform other assigned duties.
Responsibilities
- Teach 15 equated load hours per semester (includes material and preparation time).
- Develop and grade exams and instruments to evaluate student learning and progress.
- Submit student grades and progress as required by program and institutional policies.
- Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Instruction assignment dependent upon departmental and/or institutional needs; may include teaching on various campuses, online, hybrid, or virtual environments.
- Course scheduling may include daytime, evenings, and/or weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the discipline, OR
- Associate’s degree, certificate, or licensure at the highest level being taught, OR
- Qualify under the occupational experience requirement for career, technical, and professional credential fields with three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in the specific credential field, including:
- One year of work experience within the five years immediately preceding the date of application, OR
- Three years of full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the past five years.
- Documentation of work experience must demonstrate currency and relevance to the course content and student learning outcomes.
- Meet qualifications as outlined under institutional procedure, Faculty Credentials.

Pay
$49,057 - $54,134 per year, depending on experience.
Location: Yuma Campus. Exempt position.
