About the role
This position serves as a Professional Surveyor at DGL, responsible for performing and reviewing technical procedures related to land surveys, including boundary, right of way, and topographic surveys. The role also includes project management, training, and mentoring survey staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC review on office and field survey work including boundary/right of way surveys, topographic survey work, right of way plan work, etc.
- Aid in the department operations, ensuring client satisfaction and project profitability.
- Assist in the development, implementation, training, and mentoring of the survey staff.
- Manage survey projects, including proposal development, budgeting, safety, scheduling, quality control, invoicing, and project delivery.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Trimble Business Center.
- High degree of accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Outgoing, self-motivated team player with exceptional communication skills.
- Proven success in delivering high-quality project submittals.
- Valid driver's license with a favorable driving record.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in land surveying, engineering, geomatics, or engineering technology.
- Professional Surveyor (PS) Registration in good standing of the State where assigned office resides.
Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- MicroStation and AutoCAD skills.
- Trimble Business Center familiarity.
- High degree of accuracy and organization.
