PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform QA/QC review on office and field survey work including boundary/right of way surveys, topographic survey work, right of way plan work, etc.
- Aid in the department operations, while ensuring overall client satisfaction and project profitability.
- Aid in the Development/Implementation/Training/Mentoring of the survey staff.
- Project Management including proposals, budgets, safety, schedule, quality control, invoicing, and project delivery.
Skill Set
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation (current DOT L&D CAD tools) and ability to use AutoCAD as a secondary CAD drafting skill
- Familiarity with Trimble Business Center
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy, organization and within established deadlines
- Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively on various sized projects
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, stakeholders and the general public
- Exceptional ability to communicate effectively; speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Outgoing, self-motivated team player
- Proven success in delivering high quality project submittals
- Out of town projects and overtime hours may also be requested dependent on project workloads and submittal deadlines
- Valid Driver’s License required with a favorable driving record
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university in land surveying, engineering, geomatics, or engineering technology
- Professional Surveyor (PS) Registration in good standing of the State where assigned office resides
