Professional Soccer Coaching Intern
About the role
Tampa Bay Sun FC is a professional women’s soccer club competing at the highest level of the USL Super League. Our mission is to develop a championship culture built on excellence, professionalism, and player development. This internship provides an opportunity to work directly within a professional soccer environment alongside the Head Coach and coaching staff.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the setup and breakdown of daily training sessions.
- Support the coaching staff during training and match days.
- Assist with video analysis and opponent scouting.
- Organize equipment and maintain training standards.
- Assist with individual player development projects.
- Prepare training materials and coaching resources.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Perform administrative tasks that support the coaching staff.
- Complete additional projects assigned by the Head Coach.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
- Passion for soccer and a desire to pursue a career in coaching.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Previous coaching or playing experience (optional).
- Experience with video analysis software (optional).

This is an unpaid internship offered for academic credit only. Successful candidates will gain valuable experience working in a professional soccer environment that will help prepare them for future careers in coaching and professional sports.
