About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (Rater II) to support an innovative precision medicine trial in primary care clinics. This multi-level study aims to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes related to tobacco treatment, including increasing treatment uptake and overall effectiveness. In this role, you will work directly with patients and physicians, playing a key part in implementing and evaluating study procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, screens and schedules subjects for study per protocol.
  • Documents case history, charts and test scores using PC computer systems.
  • Plans and implements study phases, day-to-day in-house and field operations and trouble shoots case processes.
  • Administers/scores tests, prepares/edits progress reports and attends meetings, providing case statistical analysis.
  • May participate in training of Professional Rater I.
  • Maintains supplies necessary for study.
  • Delivers study samples to lab for testing.
  • Prepares information packets for patients enrolled in study.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with adults of all ages.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
