Position Information

This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Professional Learning Solutions Director. Location: In this Madison, WI based position you will work onsite four days a week at Madison Metropolitan School District sites, and will work remotely one day a week. Travel: You can expect travel frequently to various school district sites, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Compensation

Base pay is anticipated to be between $65,972 and $85,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

Share Your Expertise

  • Deliver fee-based, engaging, small and large group presentations, both in-person and virtually, centered on district/school teaching and learning recommendations while modeling instructional best practices.
  • As an embedded strategic professional learning partner with assigned school district.
  • Develop professional learning plans and implement strategies to support clients throughout their journey, from initial interest to renewal.
  • Submit Training Requests, update and maintain customer records with session summaries and recommendations for next steps.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Customer Service and Sales.
  • Respond to internal and external customer communication as part of a matrixed service team.
  • Engage in a solutions-focused Professional Learning Community where the Professional Learning Specialist (PLS) will be both a learner and a leader.
  • May co-teach, model lessons, attend principal and coach meetings, facilitate professional learning communities, attend district meetings, and participate in goal setting.
  • May manage multiple districts and additional projects simultaneously while focusing on the forecasted delivery of services reflecting seasonal deviations of activity.
  • Maintain the ability and availability to work flexible hours and travel to district sites 4 days a week; driving and maintaining a valid Motor Vehicle Driver License in state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities as needed to support team objectives.

Experience, Education, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, or relevant field, and at least 5 years’ experience with blended and/or online learning; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Master’s degree in education, Educational Technology or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience with core curriculum Math products (e.g., Imagine IM) is required, with K-8 teaching and math coaching experience preferred.
  • Current teaching certification or prior teaching experience is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom and Teams.
  • Experience delivering successful professional development, training, and/ or consulting services in an educational environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking, project management, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
