About the role
The Math Instructional Specialist will provide instructional support to students in grades K-12, focusing on enhancing mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement math curriculum based on district standards
- Provide small group and individualized instruction to enhance student learning
- Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to improve math education
- Assist in the development and implementation of professional development opportunities for teachers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field
- Experience teaching mathematics at the K-12 level
- Strong knowledge of current educational methodologies and best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Knowledge of state and national standards for mathematics education
Skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners
- Strong organizational and time management skills
