Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, right-of-way, and construction layout surveys
- Research deeds, plats, easements, and other legal documents to establish and verify property boundaries
- Prepare and certify plats, legal descriptions, maps, and other survey deliverables
- Utilize GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and related survey technology to collect and process accurate field data
- Manage survey projects from planning through completion while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
- Mentor and supervise survey field crews and CAD technicians
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to achieve successful project outcomes
Requirements
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or LSIT with the ability to obtain PLS licensure within six months
- Five (5) or more years of progressive land surveying experience
- Experience performing boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction surveys
- Proficiency with Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and survey data processing software
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, boundary law, and applicable industry standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
