Professional Land Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple survey projects from initiation through completion
• Perform contract administration, project management, and client coordination
• Organize, supervise, and mentor survey crews and office staff
• Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, record plats, easement plats, and other survey documents
• Perform and oversee boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, construction staking, and other land surveying services
• Ensure all work complies with applicable surveying standards, regulations, and quality requirements
• Cook up and coordinate with engineers, developers, contractors, and regulatory agencies
• Perform survey computations, data analysis, and quality control reviews
• Utilize modern survey technology and software to support project delivery

Requirements

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive land surveying experience
• Demonstrated experience in survey management and project management
• Experience supporting residential development, commercial development, and land development projects
• Ability to perform all aspects of land surveying
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS
• Experience with survey computations, survey data processing, and survey drafting
• Hands-on experience with GPS/GNSS equipment, Trimble Total Stations, data collectors, and other modern survey equipment
• Strong knowledge of boundary surveying, topographic surveying, construction staking, and survey control
• Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and organizational skills
• Able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
