Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret deeds, plats, title reports, and historical survey records
  • Perform complex survey and geomatics calculations to support mapping and platting
  • Lead production of boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, existing conditions surveys, subdivision and CIC plats, registered land surveys, right-of-way and routing surveys, and survey exhibits
  • Oversee QA/QC to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations
  • Direct and mentor survey field and office staff, supporting professional development
  • Coordinate project scope, schedules, and deliverables while communicating clearly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to proposals, estimates, and workload planning as needed

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, GIS, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive surveying experience
  • Strong command of land surveying principles, practices, and regulations
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and common survey data workflows
  • Experience with survey data processing and adjustment software
  • Working knowledge of modern field equipment and data collection procedures
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, client-focused mindset

Preferred Experience

  • Multi-state licensure or ability to obtain additional licenses
  • Familiarity with transportation agency surveying and mapping standards
  • Experience with alternative design platforms
  • Interest or experience with UAS, LiDAR/HD scanning, and advanced data extraction

Pay

$105,000 - $130,000/annum
