Compensation

Pay Range: ($35.60-$39.25)

Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications.

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Establish and maintain program for evaluating and assuring compliance by public water supply systems with federal and state law and national primary drinking water standards.

Cook with federal and state personnel to assure state program is administered consistent with federal requirements.

Oversee development of SOPs and Survival Guides for all drinking water regulations.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee SDWIS data management system necessary to maintain basic public water supply inventory information, compliance tracking, evaluation of program effectiveness and reporting to EPA.
• Oversee operations and maintenance of the Public Water Supply Data Collector.
• Oversee coordination with IT and outside contractors related to the ongoing maintenance of the PWS Viewer, Consecutive Connection Tool and Drinking Water Watch.

Qualifications

• Education: High School, GED
• Licensing & Certification: Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State
• Minimum Qualifications: Professional geology license recognized by the Kansas Board of Technical Professions plus 4 years of experience as a licensed geologist
• Preferred Qualifications: Four years of experience in Physical or Natural Sciences
