About the Role
Lead the development, promotion, and growth of Professional and Executive Education activity within the Miami region. This commercially focused role combines business development, employer engagement, partnership management, market intelligence, program development, and operational coordination. The successful candidate will help ensure professional education offerings are relevant to regional workforce needs, commercially viable, scalable, and positioned for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales
- Develop new Professional and Executive Education business across the region.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective corporate and employer partners.
- Identify workforce trends, skills gaps, training needs, and commercial opportunities.
- Manage opportunities from initial outreach through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Develop customized education and training proposals based on employer needs.
- Build relationships with senior executives, HR and talent leaders, business leaders, and organizational decision-makers.
- Work toward established revenue, partnership, and growth objectives.
- Corporate Partnerships & Employer Engagement
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with employers, industry organizations, corporate partners, and regional stakeholders.
- Develop an active professional network capable of generating new partnerships and business opportunities.
- Engage employers to understand workforce challenges and identify relevant education and training solutions.
- Serve as a primary relationship contact for Professional and Executive Education clients.
- Provide strong client service throughout the partnership lifecycle to encourage repeat business and long-term relationships.
- Represent the organization at corporate meetings, networking events, conferences, professional associations, and industry forums.
- Program Development
- Collaborate with academic teams and subject-matter experts to develop and adapt short courses, executive education, micro-credentials, and other professional programs.
- Translate employer and market needs into relevant education and training solutions.
- Support the localization of programs to meet regional, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with academic, quality, administrative, and operational teams to support successful program delivery.
- Help ensure programs maintain appropriate academic and quality standards while remaining commercially responsive.
- Market Research & Growth
- Conduct or support workforce research, market analysis, skills mapping, and employer surveys.
- Monitor changing workforce requirements and emerging areas of employer demand.
- Analyze market and employer information to identify opportunities for new programs and partnerships.
- Monitor competitors within executive education, professional education, continuing education, and workforce development.
- Identify sectors where additional partnerships, programs, and revenue opportunities can be developed.
- Provide market insights that contribute to long-term professional education strategy.
- Marketing & Outreach
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to promote Professional and Executive Education offerings.
- Support employer outreach, digital campaigns, newsletters, events, webinars, masterclasses, and executive briefings.
- Help generate employer leads and individual learner enrollments.
- Build awareness and visibility among corporate leaders, employers, professional associations, and industry organizations.
- Operations & Performance
- Coordinate scheduling, logistics, communications, enrollment, registration, invoicing, reporting, and other operational requirements associated with professional education activity.
- Help establish efficient processes that allow the professional education portfolio to scale.
- Track leads, conversions, enrollments, revenue, employer engagement, and client satisfaction.
- Monitor the professional education sales pipeline and provide regular performance updates.
- Contribute to forecasting, annual planning, revenue targets, and regional growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing employer relationships into additional programs and partnerships.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Background in business development, executive education, workforce development, professional training, education management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience
- Experience selling, managing, developing, or coordinating Professional or Executive Education, Continuing Professional Development, short courses, executive education, workforce training, or similar programs.
- Demonstrated employer engagement and business development experience.
- Proven ability to establish relationships with corporate partners, industry leaders, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience engaging senior executives and organizational decision-makers.
- Strong professional network within the corporate, employer, or industry community.
- Experience identifying workforce needs, skills gaps, or market opportunities.
- Experience conducting or contributing to market research.
- Ability to develop opportunities from initial employer engagement through proposal development and commercial agreement.
- Experience supporting the operational delivery of education or training programs.
- Preferred Experience
- Experience in higher education, continuing education, adult learning, executive education, workforce development, or professional training.
- Knowledge of micro-credentials, stackable qualifications, lifelong learning, or other professional education models.
- Experience marketing or promoting education and training products.
- Experience developing corporate education or workforce-development partnerships.
- Experience working within geographically dispersed or international organizations.
- Experience collaborating with academic teams to develop commercially focused education programs.
