About the role

The Professional Development Specialist (PDS) is an experienced registered nurse with advanced clinical expertise, serving as an educator, change agent, researcher, mentor, and leader within their specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess practice gaps and learning needs through data analysis
• Design and implement educational plans to enhance clinical practice
• Coordinate onboarding and ongoing staff education programs
• Evaluate educational outcomes and clinical improvements
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
• Lead change management and provide mentorship to staff and students
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in professional activities
• Maintain current knowledge and advance the profession through leadership and community involvement

Requirements

• BSN or higher
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience
• Specialty certifications such as NRP or ACLS
