Responsibilities

• Steering and optimization of production processes in the planing mill
• Active participation in the production process / plant operation
• Taking on sub-tasks and independent project execution, e.g. wood drying
• Instruction and training of employees
• Possible perspective as shift supervisor / deputy production manager with sub-tasks in operational management
• Quality assurance in production processes / product inspections
• Troubleshooting in cooperation with maintenance
• Minimum 2–5 year assignment to the USA with subsequent perspective at an EU location

Qualifications

• Training as, for example, woodworking mechanic, wood technician, sawmill master, or HTL / university of applied sciences degree in wood technology
• Several years of professional / industry experience in the sawmill / wood industry
• Independent, structured working style and high temporal and geographical flexibility for work at both locations
• Good English skills and intercultural competence for a multi-year assignment in the USA
