Production Worker (Rough Clean Utility Worker - Weekend Nights Shift)

About the Role

The Utility Worker is responsible for performing any hourly job (excluding non-fixtured cutting) supporting the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principles.
• Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report all job-related illness and injuries (per Employee Handbook).
• Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Attend all EHS training.
• Utilize Kalamazoo saw, wet saw, AW Bell, pull-down saw, and water jet machines or any non-hand cut cutting equipment.
• Perform MP identity marking on castings to maintain traceability.
• Perform alloy verification procedure (after certification is obtained).
• Keep scrap and spruing separate with proper identity.
• Perform K/O procedure, KOH soak/Core removal procedure, Water Hone, and Sand Blast/pressure blast (cleaning) of castings.
• Maintain identity of castings through all operations.
• Maintain records as required.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Follow all applicable safety rules and work in a safe manner at all times.
• Perform other functions as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• This position entails access to export-controlled items; employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Dover, NJ will only be considered.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must pass visual eye exam and alloy verification certification.
• Participates in problem-solving efforts.

Physical Demands / Equipment Used

• Alloy verification equipment.
• Computers.
• Cut-off/Grind equipment (manual and auto).
• Shell removal equipment (pneumatic, hammer knock-out, and blast).
• KOH soak and rinse tanks.
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Manufacturing environment (hot, cold, etc.).
• Use of blast machines, grinding machines, hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Must be able to use hoists.

Pay

New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: $25.66; After 12 Months: $28.31. This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.

Schedule

Weekend Nights Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6 PM–6 AM. Training will occur on Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 6 AM–2 PM) and can last several months.
