Production Worker -Pressweld

Full-Time | First Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
About the role
This role is ideal for individuals with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in producing quality products, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment. As a Production Worker Junior, you will support the manufacturing process by working in multiple areas of the Pressweld department, including shearing, pressweld operations, grinding, and finishing. Success in this role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Produce parts that meet established specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Operate production equipment and use hand tools such as grinders, polishers, and other finishing equipment.
- Inspect and measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and compliance.
- Record production output and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and make minor adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with additional production tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (on-the-job training may be considered in place of educational requirements).
- Two or more years of manufacturing or production experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal work instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and production processes.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work while meeting production goals.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing.
- Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
