Production Worker

Pay

$19-$21 per hour

Schedule

Full-time position. Shift: 5a - 5p and 5p - 5a with overtime available.

Responsibilities

• Perform bagging and baler operations as determined by Shift Leads.
• Operate machinery productively following safety guidelines.
• Assist other production areas as needed.
• Move and wrap completed products.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day.
• Assist Shift Leads to start and stop pellet mills.
• Communicate moisture or material problems to Shift Lead.
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bagging Operation: operate bagging, baler, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jack, bag sealer; stack bags on pallets, apply covers, place finished goods in correct warehouse location; complete Bagger production report, fill pellet sample cups each ton for QC, tag pallets with QC tag (initials, date, ton number, shift).
• Baler Operation: stack bales on pallets, seal bales with an iron, wrap pallets; complete Baler Operator production report, check bale weight, record information on reports and QC tags.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Must pass company forklift training.
• Ability to read and interpret scales.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust baler weight/timing and perform simple maintenance.
• Ability to do simple math calculations.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
