Job Description And Responsibilities Picks copper and fluff off moving conveyor, cleans around mill, and assists shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts, and greasing. Keeps the work area clean and ready for daily operationsEnsures conveyor bearings are clean and properly greasedSorts only copper to ensure quality material is shipped to customersReports any issues immediately as they ariseAssists shredder mechanics during projectsAssists in meeting monthly production goalsPerforms other duties as assignedPerforms lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before working on any plant equipmentCross-trains in other departments to provide coverage during short staffing or call-ins Requirements Completion of High School and/or equivalentAbility to push, pull, and lift materials up to 40 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods, as well as regular walking, squatting, and climbingAbility to learn and follow directionsMechanically inclinedSelf-Motivated: Takes initiative and acts proactively without being promptedStrong Work Ethic: Uses time efficiently, works safely, and ensures those around them are working safelyStrong command of the English language, both written and spokenRecycling or mining experience is considered an asset.Occasional additional hours, including weekends, may be required depending on operational needs Compensation: $23/hr Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
