Production Worker/Forklift - Temporary position

Apply Description Job Type: Temporary - around 3 months Shift Schedule: M-Th, 6a - 4pm Salary: $18/hour Pre-employment background check and drug screen required Production Worker/Forklift Job Duties Packaging Operation Operation of packaging equipment, including bag feeder, pallet jack and shrink-wrapping machine Ensure bags are stacked appropriately on pallets, and are positioned for placement in the warehouse Accurate completion of production reportsTaking pellet samples for quality control testingLabeling/tagging wrapped pallets with required quality control informationOther duties as assigned Forklift/Warehouse Operation Operation of forklift in the warehouse and other production areas to move, transport and stack wrapped pallets of wood pellets in a neat and orderly fashion.Operate forklift to load trucks for delivery, ensuring all required paperwork has been filled out and signedCount and record pallets for inventory purposes Stack junk pallets until they can be disposed of properlyMaintain communication with co-workers and control room leads on status of workOther duties as assigned Production Worker/Forklift Job Requirements One to two years forklift operation experience in an outdoor settingProduction line experience in an industrial setting highly preferredWill be bending/lifting around 50 lbs bags throughout the shiftWill be working indoor and outdoor settingsWill be surrounded by sawdustMust possess good eye, hand and foot coordinationAbility to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-taskAbility to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety. #IDWest Salary Description $18.00/hour
