Production Forklift Operator Overnight Shift

About the role

Nashville Wire Products, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry, is growing and accepting resumes for a Production Sit Down Forklift Operator on the overnight shift at the Springfield, TN location. The operator will use a sit‑down forklift to deliver work‑in‑process and raw materials to multiple production lines to ensure manufacturing equipment does not shut down for lack of supply.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit‑down forklift to transport work‑in‑process and raw materials to production lines.
• Maintain a continuous supply of materials to prevent equipment downtime.

Requirements

• Recent steady work history in a fast‑paced production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience distributing loose materials and work‑in‑process to machines using a sit‑down forklift.
• Ability to perform regular heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment.

Pay

• Starting pay: $21.25 per hour.
• Increase to $22.25 per hour after 90 days.
• Increase to $23.50 per hour after 1 year.
• Night shift differential of $1.00/hour is not included in the base rates.
• Overtime is paid at double time for all overtime hours worked.

Schedule
