Production Worker - 2nd Shift

About the role

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented individual to operate machinery, ensure product quality, and maintain a safe work environment in an industrial manufacturing setting. The role involves hands-on production tasks, compliance with quality standards, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety rules and regulations; utilize proper PPE at all times
• Produce continuous quality parts and ensure adherence to all quality procedures
• Comply with ISO 9001 standards and complete all required manufacturing/quality documentation
• Communicate internally regarding deviations or general requests
• Assist in 6S and lean manufacturing practices
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations; complete necessary reports
• Independently operate machines and equipment to produce parts within required tolerances
• Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate next orders and stage supplies/products accordingly
• Install specified parts or materials, including plugs, capseals, rings, and other components
• Use various hand tools (e.g., air guns, plug wrenches, capseal tools) safely and efficiently while maintaining production flow
• Demonstrate acceptable capabilities across all areas of the plant during general labor rotation
• Report any concerns regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to the Production Manager, SHEQ, or Plant Manager
• Maintain working areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
• Attend all required meetings and training sessions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in industrial manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving skills to drive efficiency and productivity improvements
• Effective verbal communication to interact with operators, maintenance, and management
• Ability to complete production, quality, and inventory reports legibly
• Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios)
• Familiarity with internal manufacturing systems

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shift
• Capable of standing, kneeling/stooping, and walking for the duration of the shift
• Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud environments, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions
• 20/20 corrected vision and normal hearing range
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments (cold in winter, hot in summer)
