Production Worker 1st Shift (7am-3pm Mon-Fri) *Up to $24/hr.*

Responsibilities

• Sort parts from work bins from sheet metal processing equipment
• Stage WIP for Fabrication work areas
• Select work orders on the Factory Scheduler, prioritizing expedited orders
• Pull residual parts from the locations shown on the work order
• Verify parts with the correct part ID and count to ensure the exact quantity
• Pick orders that have been sitting for an excessive amount of time and return them to their primary location
• Follow verbal instructions from Production Supervisor
• Inspect parts, products, and machinery for defects
• Process orders according to the production schedule
• Operate forklift to assist in material movement, including taking out scrap bins, unloading trucks, and putting material away in the proper rack location
• Fabricate parts using various machines such as belt sander, deburring equipment, shear, etc.
• Assist with loading and unloading machinery
• Execute all material issues/receipts in the ERP system
• Contribute to the parts cycle counting program
• Work at different workstations as required
• Maintain a clean, safe work area

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, a technical certification, a plus
• Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand tools
• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Able to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings
• Able to maintain a strong attention to detail
• Able to tolerate long periods of standing

Additional Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
• Proficient computer skills
• General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus
• Experience in operation of forklift and other material handling equipment, a plus
