About the role

Receive, store, and issue raw materials, packaging components, and operational supplies to support manufacturing operations. Handle samples of materials for testing or special assignments. Perform shipping and inventory cycle count functions to support warehouse operations and plant needs. This position must comply with all security guidelines, environmental health and safety regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Responsibilities

  • Receive purchased materials (raw materials, supplies, packaging components, narcotics, and dangerous substances), perform visual inspections, verify quantities (by counting and/or weighing), confirm proper identification, and record information in inventory control systems.
  • Maintain and generate transactions in the SAP environment; handle damaged, shortages, excess, or missing orders following the Materials Damages & Claim Procedure.
  • Remove samples for analysis of raw materials and packaging components received, as well as samples for re-evaluation of existing materials.
  • Store materials according to applicable status and current GMPs; maintain clean and organized working areas.
  • Transfer materials from the warehouse to production lines and receive back-to-stock materials following current procedures.
  • Keep inventory control systems (manual and/or computerized) updated and accurate, including freight container inventory.
  • Participate in the Cycle Counting process as per the Inventory Control Procedure.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, ensure correct picking for shipping according to applicable status and GMPs, and load trucks.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (e.g., radios, forklifts).
  • Properly handle and dispose of rejected materials, dangerous goods, potentially dangerous goods, and regulated hazardous waste into designated disposal facilities or interim containers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; Associate’s degree, some college, or trade school preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required; MVR must be completed with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience driving a forklift preferred but not required (training will be provided).
  • Experience in a regulated environment such as FDA, Pharma, or Bio-Pharma required.
