About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide multi-functional support crucial for maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards throughout the facility. The position is responsible for a wide range of operational duties to ensure the facility runs safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist all manufacturing department operations in processing tasks, machine set-up tasks, sanitation, and quality control.
- Assist warehouse and distribution department operations in warehousing tasks, inventory maintenance, sanitation, and quality control.
- Assist maintenance operations in equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Operate production and processing systems in accordance with Royal Canin Operating Procedures in a safe, productive, and efficient manner at all times.
- Perform Processing operational activity according to production and planning schedules and requirements.
- When assisting manufacturing and warehouse department operations, perform required Quality Control checks and/or analysis on each production of processed and coated materials in accordance to Royal Canin Quality Procedures.
- Provide reporting and documentation of Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation activities in accordance with Royal Canin Operating Procedures.
- Assist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activity in other areas as directed.
- Provide functional communications with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity and safety.
- Perform all duties in compliance with Royal Canin Quality Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Adhere to all Royal Canin safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have a High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
- Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules.
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated competency in computer and PC software including MS Office and email.
- Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Standing on a concrete floor.
- Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
- Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, and chemicals.
- Vision correctable to 20/20.
