Production Utility Operator

About the role

This role is on a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, days, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Handling, stacking, and grading of material up to 18ft in length and weighing up to 50lbs repetitively.
  • Continuous wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking of millwork for shipment.
  • General cleaning of work area and surroundings.
  • Banding together units at the end of each production run.
  • Monitor quality of product, equipment, and safety and working with supervisor as issues arise
  • Use a tape measure and miter saw to cut runners and side boards to the proper length for banding.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma/GED.
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, production, assembly or similar experience.
  • Forklift, mobile equipment, or heavy equipment experience preferred.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role – including lifting 50 lbs, standing for long periods of time, and completing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify safety hazards.
  • Willingness to complete a lifetime (from the age of 17) background check and full panel drug screen.

Qualifications

  • Pay starts at $21.17 per hour and will increase to $22.67 upon completion of certifications within the 6-month probationary period, plus a profit share/gain share program.
