General Summary
The Production Trainer will take on a large part in the training process of new and existing employees. It is the duty of this position to ensure that new employees or those that are assuming a new position are following the training plan, completing all e-learning, and developing the competencies to be successful in their job. This will be accomplished with continuous mentoring, positive communication, and support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works one on one with employees in training, certified trainers, and supervisors to ensure that the training process is correctly executed and results in successful training.
- Creates new training, updates existing training, and eliminates content that is no longer relevant.
- Participates in Quality and EHS audits of the Training System as needed.
- Becomes familiar with and learns all jobs and equipment on the floor.
- Train others and/or coordinates the training for any PIV equipment, tracks expiration, and maintains records of certifications.
- Uploads training records accurately and timely into the LMS.
- Maintains frequent contact with employees in training during the introductory period, to coordinate training, give feedback, and ensure the training plan is correctly executed.
- Is a point of contact to partner with the Supervisors to ensure the employee is learning, give feedback, and develop a remedial plan if the employee is not progressing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent GED prefered
- EXPERIENCE: Must have one year’s previous manufacturing experience or equivalent.
- Must have one year’s previous manufacturing experience or equivalent.
- Must be a good communicator both verbally and written and be able to accept requests for assistance from other associates as well as from the direct manager.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products to include Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Must be willing to learn Storyline Articulate and the Learning Management System.
- Time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues and documents
- Must be willing to work different shifts to perform their job.

Aptitude to teach others. Aptitude to learn new things to do their job and/or teach to others.
