Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, hands-on instructor-led training for new hires and existing employees within assigned production skill areas.
- Demonstrate proper manufacturing techniques, safety procedures, quality standards, and operational best practices.
- Create, develop, and implement training plans for production onboarding, cross-training, and refresher training initiatives.
- Ensure employees demonstrate competency and readiness prior to independent operation.
- Provide direct coaching, guidance, and technical support to production employees as needed.
- Develop and administer training assessments and evaluations to identify skill gaps, measure competency, and support employee development.
- Conduct follow-up evaluations to assess training effectiveness, knowledge retention, and overall employee performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed training records, documentation, and written communication related to employee trainings, skills, and certifications.
- Ensure employee training records are compliant with current company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Provide feedback to Supervisors and leadership regarding trainee progress, readiness, and development needs.
- Ensure training milestones, qualifications, and development goals are achieved within established timelines.
- Cook up with Supervisors and production leadership to identify training needs, employee skill gaps, and scheduling requirements.
- Communicate production technical training needs and support the development of new training requests and programs.
- Participate in training meetings and continuous improvement discussions to align training goals and operational objectives.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with employees through effective communication, coaching, and technical guidance.
- Present training assessments, compliance reviews, and improvement recommendations to management as needed.
- Identify training gaps and recommend improvements to training materials, methods, and employee development programs.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of training tools, manuals, job aids, and instructional resources to enhance operational performance.
- Stay current on manufacturing processes, operational changes, new equipment, technologies, and training methodologies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements, Kaizen activities, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Evaluate employee productivity, process adherence, and training effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Compare company policies and procedures to actual business practices and document findings within the company eQMS system.
- Ensure all training activities align with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Reinforce proper PPE usage, hazard awareness, safe work practices, and compliance expectations within the production environment.
- Maintain adherence to all company policies, procedures.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of training processes.
- Ability to moderate large groups.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Understanding of/ability to learn eQMS system employed by company
- Two years of experience in training, education, or auditing
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support multiple shifts as needed based on business demands.
Job Setting / Environment
- Primary duties typically performed in an environmentally controlled building on an open production floor.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, or walk on the production floor.
