About The Role

The Production Welder performs welding operations to fabricate and assemble components to required specifications, ensuring product quality and supporting production schedules. This role contributes to safe operations, structural integrity, and efficient manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own welding tasks ensuring components are fabricated accurately to required specifications and tolerances.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, or other welding processes based on production and engineering requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete welding assignments correctly.
  • Prepare materials, set up welding equipment, and position components for welding operations.
  • Ensure welds meet structural, dimensional, and quality requirements consistently across production runs.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion and perform rework as needed.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Record production output, quality results, and rework activities accurately in tracking systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding quality and production efficiency.
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies, including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Adhere to product compliance duties in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Contribute to achieving compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to supervisors, managers, or the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistleblower service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification in welding preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in welding or fabrication within manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, or other welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • Basic knowledge of metallurgy, materials, and welding processes preferred.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced production environments and meet production targets.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills within manufacturing settings.
