What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor resources including disk, memory, and CPU through in-depth stress testing
  • Develop technical cross-training plans as necessary
  • Re-qualify and refurbish disk arrays across multiple OEMs
  • Re-qualify and refurbish server and associated peripherals
  • Provide technical support as required, to field engineers, and sales via problem identification, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair strategy
  • Perform research or collect information on specific technical hardware/software related issues to determine root cause, identify alternatives, and implement a solution
  • Work and participate in a team environment
  • Aid in new product launches, technical problem resolution, and training courses development
  • Assist production areas with various product lines and assist planning and procurement group with parts related queries
  • Recertify individual and defective parts and provide problem determination/ resolution when necessary
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of tested and untested product
  • Maintain test equipment
  • Disassemble tested systems into spare parts
  • Tagging and bagging of tested spares
  • Perform other technical duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • Level II: minimum 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, or testing servers, storage systems, networking equipment, or similar enterprise hardware
  • Understanding of networking concepts and Cisco technologies
  • Associate degree, High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to tackle new technical problems and equipment
  • Bonus Points: Experience with Dell EMC, NetApp, Cisco, HPE, Lenovo, or other enterprise OEM platforms
  • Experience working in a data center, hardware repair depot, or enterprise IT environment
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, Microsoft operating systems, or server administration
  • Experience using disk imaging tools such as Symantec Ghost or Acronis
  • Experience with Linux, Unix, Red Hat, or command-line interfaces (CLI)
  • Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, Server+, Storage+, CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, or MCP
  • Working knowledge of storage hardware, RAID configurations, or enterprise storage technologies
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), or similar business systems
  • Travel 10%
