Paint Shop Technician II

Job Duties

• Perform sanding, blending, shaping, cleaning, masking, and other tasks related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes.
• Work with basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers daily.
• Work as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear communication efforts.
• Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasks but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate.
• Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures.
• Track job progress, enter data, and complete paperwork as needed.
• Schedule and manage projects according to changing demands.
• Adhere to corporate and local office policies and procedures, including daily timecard recording and email checks.

Qualifications

• Education: HS/GED and 2 years of experience or Bachelor's degree and zero (0).
• Experience: Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, or other tasks related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for paint finishes.
• Experience: Experience as a technician working in a manufacturing/industrial/shop environment is also accepted.
• Basic Skills and Knowledge: Experience with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers and basic computer skills (logging in, email, timecard entry, job tracking, etc.) are required.

Clearance Requirement

• Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance is required.
