About the Role
A Technician cleans and operates factory equipment, works on an assembly line, assembles and inspects products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards. This job description outlines the essential duties and responsibilities for a Level I Technician.
Responsibilities
- Learn to perform every aspect of production and assembly.
- Read blueprints, bills of materials, and work instructions to properly complete work orders.
- Follow procedures for the assembly/disassembly, soldering, welding, machining, and analysis of a variety of electro-mechanical devices.
- Perform testing on units to ensure functionality.
- Maintain and update results related to various tests and inspection procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems with completed assemblies to ensure conformity to design specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in other areas as needed, including packaging units for shipment.
- Complete work orders and requests in a timely fashion.
- Assist other technicians to complete work orders.
- Keep workstations clean and organized.
- Use proper tools, PPE, and equipment to prevent incidents.
- Apply best safety practices to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform accurate and quality work to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Proven work experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role.
- Good eye-hand coordination to construct small parts and pieces into a final product.
- Ability to use various hand tools to produce a final product.
- Basic knowledge of electrical design and control circuits.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and follow schematics, blueprints, and instructions for each product.
- Ability to learn new technology, procedures, and specifications.
