Production Technician I

Overview

This position is for a Production Technician on 3rd shift who will work in the Fill/Cap/Label/Freeze Dry department to support manufacturing of Bio-Rad bottled product in compliance with established GMP processes and procedures. This position is for a third shift technician (Hours: 10PM to 6:30AM).

Responsibilities

• Supports filling, capping and labeling operations of Bio-Rad bottled Product in team-based manufacturing processes which may require hand filling and/or use of semi-automated machinery.
• Performs delivery of Semi-Finished Goods to Warehousing using carts or pallet trucks when applicable.
• Performs in-process and final quality inspection of components/product.
• Prepares for production by reviewing production schedule; assembling equipment and supplies.
• Follow procedures and work instructions to execute production tasks.
• Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Completes inventory and quality transaction in SAP Inventory System.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures.
• Performs basic instrument operation, cleaning and maintenance, etc. Can assist in the troubleshooting instruments/equipment-related issues and coordinates support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 0-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, cGMP, policies, and procedures in the specialty area.
• Experience operating manual, semi-auto and automatic production machinery preferred.
• Transaction in SAP a plus.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Team player/ flexible/ attentive to detail and quality minded.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, with overtime and weekends as needed.
