About the role
This position primarily involves performing preventative and routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, including installation, testing, adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of warehouse equipment with some supervision.
- Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot and identify equipment issues efficiently with some assistance.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Identify, remove, repair, or replace defective parts as directed.
- Maintain parts, supplies, and inventories as directed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance around the buildings, such as fixing cosmetic damage.
- Operate all types of powered industrial vehicles, including boom lifts and sweeper/scrubbers.
- Work in non-climatically controlled environments throughout the year.
- Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Read and comprehend work requests and communicate effectively with others.
- Demonstrate a general understanding of fire systems and notify management of issues.
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing and restore full use of water fixtures as instructed.
- Adhere to facility hours, including overtime and weekends.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in high elevations with the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to wear steel-toe shoes.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Refer to Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for complete physical requirements.
- Work flexible hours and overtime as requested.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with some direction and self-assign new tasks.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Must pass a company-paid drug screen.
- Must possess a valid Missouri state driver’s license.
- Minimal understanding of plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics, pneumatics, painting, and electrical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Reading and basic math skills required.
- Must have a team-player mindset.
- Excellent attendance, strong job performance reviews, and a clean safety record.
- Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Safety mindset with a focus on accident avoidance.
Pay
Hourly rate: $19.00 - $19.50
Schedule
Full-time, regular position. Must be available for overtime and weekends as required.
