Production Technician

About the role
The Production Technician ensures all elements of Food Safety within their line are met. This fast-paced position requires basic math and reasoning skills, the ability to follow instructions, and effective communication of concerns to the Machine Operator or Foreman. Flexibility in hours and days worked is required, including availability for inter-company or weekend work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Trained in HACCP and knowledgeable of designated Critical Control Points (CCPs) for their line.
- Trained in GMP principles and responsible for maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices on their line.
- Perform tasks designated by the Line Foreman, including dumping, packing, stacking, wrapping, labeling, inspecting, and cleaning.
- Complete assigned paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Assist with cleaning, inspecting, and understanding procedures for designated clean-ups.
- Report discrepancies related to HACCP programs, Allergen Programs, Sanitation Procedures, GMP findings, Foreign Material Findings, and HOLD procedures to the Foreman or Quality Technician.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to organize orders/actions according to specific rules.
