Responsibilities
- Assist in leading the Production Area to achieve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team goals.
- Act as the technical expert in the Production Assembly area, assisting in developing new manufacturing processes and collaborating with Engineering to implement improvements.
- Oversee and direct activities of some Assembly personnel, ensuring compliance with NMT’s Employee Guidelines and Quality System Regulations.
- Work with Engineering staff to assist with prototype assembly builds, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Document assembly and test methods, and contribute to the development and implementation of new processes.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products according to engineering instructions.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish specifications and quality standards, and communicate project status to engineers.
- Manage label printing process for production area, and assist in the assembly of medical devices.
- Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate work and provide training and instruction to Production employees, working with the Manufacturing Manager, Assembly Supervisor, and Leads.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.S.) or equivalent, or at least 1 year of relevant experience in a technician position.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a technician position, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in a Production position with increasing responsibilities.
- Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment, and familiarity with regulated environments like ISO and FDA QSR.
- Experience using common hand tools and measurement tools, including torque wrenches, wire strippers, calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges.
- Previous experience in wire/cable termination, soldering, crimping, and adhesive bonding.
- Previous electrical testing experience, including continuity, resistance, and hipot testing.
Qualifications

The expected salary range for this position is $19.00 – $23.00/hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
