Production Technician
Location
Spartanburg 2 – 3220 Moore Duncan Hwy, Suite 100, Gate A, Moore, SC 29369
Shift & Schedule
- Initial Phase (First 6–8 Weeks): Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Final/Eventually Permanent Phase (12‑Hour Day Shift): 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 2‑2‑3 rotating schedule
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations and deliver strong safety, quality, production, and cost performance.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated packaging and processing equipment.
- Identify equipment and material issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement through TPM, Kaizen, structured problem solving, and Daily Management.
- Maintain and improve standard work for Autonomous and Preventive Maintenance activities.
- Conduct layered process audits and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve equipment efficiency.
- Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and other functions on equipment and process improvements.
- Train, mentor, and support technicians within the Mini Business Unit (MBU).
- Lead team meetings and communicate performance, priorities, and improvement initiatives.
- Support MES/WES transactions and serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert for the business unit.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and safety‑focused High Performing Team culture.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and support safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience troubleshooting automated equipment.
- Experience with TPM, continuous improvement, manufacturing processes, or similar environments preferred.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Ability to perform production calculations and analyze losses and waste.
- Ability to train and support team members in MES/WES processes.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work on the manufacturing floor, and lift, push, or pull up to 75 lb frequently without assistance.
Pay
Starting pay: $32.18 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $33.88 per hour in the quarter after their 6‑month anniversary.
