Production Technician

About The Role

Operate a simple line/machine/palletizer or support operating a production line for hygiene products, manufacturing products according to fixed specifications and Standard Operating Procedures. As a member of the shift team, the Operator is responsible for the performance of the machine. Must be able to work 10-12 hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others.
• Operate process and equipment efficiently.
• Accountable for the performance of assigned equipment.
• Consistently apply necessary standards to keep the process under control.
• Develop standards (CL, CIL, PM, OPL, WPS, etc.) through observation to gain a deep understanding of the equipment.
• Troubleshoot stops in a structured way using available tools (POS, BDE, etc.).
• Understand the operation and equipment, perform CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate) tasks, and carry out simple maintenance.
• Lead changeovers.
• Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain communication with previous and next shifts, as well as others involved in running the machine.
• Maintain optimal housekeeping.
• Secure product quality by regularly checking against specifications, rejecting and blocking non-conforming products if necessary.
• Complete all required documentation and data files during production.
• Must be able to work 10-12 hour rotating shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Supports all safety enablers and initiatives positively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively train others.
• Effective conflict resolution skills.
• Strong machine and process knowledge.
• Effective facilitation skills.
