Production Technician

About the role
The Production Technician ensures quality and mechanical performance of production lines, recording unit quality and associated data. This role operates within a continuous schedule at our Mankato, MN plant.
Responsibilities
- Setup, adjust, repair, overhaul, and evaluate all end-line equipment to maintain standard quality and production quantity.
- Disassemble, replace, and reassemble tools and dies.
- Measure and record end dimensions against specifications.
- Inspect in-process ends and raw materials at all manufacturing stages to ensure quality requirements and specifications are met.
- Perform mechanical repair and maintenance required for production.
- Operate mechanical hoists and drive forklifts.
- Maintain records of production and quality, including isolating poor-quality product.
- Report quality problems or defects to plant supervisor.
- Ensure safe work practices are adhered to.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands, handle or operate objects/tools, and reach with hands and arms.

- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
- Factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
- Very loud noise levels requiring significant hearing protection.
- Some work in small confined areas.

Pay
Starting pay is $30.91 per hour with an additional 5% shift differential for night shift.
Schedule
4 days on, 4 days off, 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
