This is a key entry-level position within our manufacturing facility which produces quality food products for our customers.

Assemble and/or move materials around as needed to complete the main function (i.e., inspecting, pre-weigh, blending, mixing, packing, etc.)
Operate equipment as necessary to accomplish tasks and meet targets
Input and track production, safety, and quality data in Production Reporting System (Redzone)
Detailed cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment
Load and unload product from the production line
Ensure daily adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations
Inspection of packaged finished goods and ingredients
Ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the food safety and food quality system
Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality issues from occurring
Evaluate hazards, verification of measures, and procedures that should be taken to achieve a safe work environment
Work in a safe manner and promptly report hazards identified in the work environment
Work involves the use of equipment controls, flour system, and blender recipe system
All other duties assigned

High school diploma or GED
One year of related experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Reasoning ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively train others
Must be able to read work documents in English
Strong focus on safety
Good understanding of plant quality requirements
Good working knowledge of GMPs
Good attendance and work history
Strong team mentality
Flexible for overtime and weekend work

Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration
Seasonal exposure to weather elements, including extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity
Daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases
Position requires the ability to stand; walk around office, warehouse, and plant; lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds; utilize fine dexterity; and reach, kneel, crawl, and twist on a daily basis
Requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate with associates and others by utilizing professional etiquette
Personal protective equipment (bump caps, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, lockout devices, fall protection, etc.) will be provided
Work involves frequent exposure to time pressures, frequent change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, tedious and exacting work, irregular work schedule and/or overtime, noisy and/or distracting environment, working closely with others as part of a team, and on rare occasions, emergency situations

Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM.
