Responsibilities
- Work directly on the floor alongside the roll-forming and finalization teams to keep machines running, materials moving, and production flowing.
- Assist with coil/material changeovers, pack and move finished products, and rework or repack parts to ensure customer orders remain accurate and on schedule.
- Inspect parts using visual checks or gauges, handle basic setup or troubleshooting tasks, and maintain precise counts of processed materials.
- Stay adaptable by assisting in other production areas as needed.
- Follow EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards and take responsibility for product quality, including stopping production if issues arise.
- Perform additional duties to support team and department performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, prints, and control plans.
- Ability to use measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and other hand tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Must work effectively in a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a loud environment; hearing protection is provided and required.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, coolant, or airborne particles and works near moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to perform excessive walking, standing, bending, climbing, reaching, grasping, and lifting.
- Ability to visually inspect parts and use hands to operate measuring gauges.
- Ability to run machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
