About the role
As a Production Associate, you'll join the Manufacturing team in Chesterfield, MI. Your responsibilities include:
- General Plant Star knowledge.
- Understand and operate weight scale, boxing indexers, and automated baggers.
- Understand work orders.
- Visually inspect parts for various defects and instruct others when necessary.
- Inform QA, Supervisors, and Process Techs of issues.
- Label and package parts.
- Remove bins as they fill and coordinate with Material Handlers.
- Perform extra checks on two-shot molding jobs.
- Restock supplies for the oncoming shift.
- Maintain housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Understanding and operating essential equipment.
- Inspecting parts for defects.
- Instructing others on operations.
- Communicating issues to relevant personnel.
- Labeling and packaging parts.
- Maintaining cleanliness and restocking supplies.
- Completing other tasks as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
- Two or more years of experience in manufacturing.
- Basic computer skills.
