Production Team Member

About the role

Our corrugated packaging business seeks to be the leader in helping our customers package, transport, and display products of all kinds. This position will assist the Assistant Operator in various tasks and monitor quality.

Responsibilities

• Cutting straps
• Removing dunnage
• Washing print plates
• Affixing materials
• Stacking material
• Maintaining quality of boxes
• Assisting in feeding materials
• Working as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation
• Increasing productivity
• Decreasing downtime and waste
• Assuming an active role in overall plant and facilities-related work
• Assisting all jobs on the plant floor
• Following all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures
• Maintaining shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards
• Stacking parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Able to work the first, second, and third shift
• Able to maintain a good attendance record
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously

Qualifications

• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred
• Understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities to work closely with other production personnel, share ideas to solve problems, communicate effectively, and thrive in a cross-functional team environment
