Production Team Member

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow processes and procedures associated with the Production Department
• Assemble, perform material handling, and rework using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and jigs
• Read, interpret, and follow work orders and work instructions/Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) to ensure work is performed according to specifications
• Maintain a consistent work pace on each operation; utilize time well; perform tasks within required time
• Perform any variety of operational tasks and workstations within the Production Department to maintain positive flow of work
• Material handling functions as required to maintain inventory of work stations, or to move product through the production process
• Perform quality checks and recognize defective parts and any inconsistencies with production flow to assure product meets all specifications and standards
• Write production reports, track parts and scrap as required
• Adhere to Quality policies and standards, such as, ISO 9001, TS16949, IATF16949
• Maintain a consistent workpace by following 5S principles (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
• Collaborate with Team Members, Team Leaders, Group Leaders and/or other members of Hyundai Transys to be active contributors to the team
• Attend all required training as assigned
• Comply with and promote company practices and policies in all areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication
• Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in assembly is preferred
• Previous job-related experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required)
