Production Team Lead, AWS Night Shift

About the role

Perfetti Van Melle, a leading manufacturer and distributor of confectionery and chewing gum, seeks a Production Team Lead to join its growing team. The position is based in Loves Park, IL, and operates on a 12-hour rotating shift from 5:30 PM to 6 AM, with half the year dedicated to night shifts.

Responsibilities

- Ensures adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during production. - Manages team performance and escalates issues as necessary. - Trains and coaches team members on various aspects of the job. - Analyzes data and implements problem-solving techniques. - Facilitates effective communication and collaboration among team members. - Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures. - Utilizes Microsoft Office tools and other relevant software.

Requirements

- At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food industry. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. - Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math skills. - Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Knowledge of HR practices and ability to provide constructive feedback. - Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Pay

The anticipated target range for this role is $25 - $30 per hour.
