Production Lead Operator - Night Shift

About the role

This position assists in achieving plant goals of safety, food safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. It fosters a positive work environment through the "Associate Empowerment" philosophy and supports company policies, decisions, and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes available resources to coordinate efforts of assigned personnel for safety, quality, efficiency, sanitation, scrap, and attendance.
• Carries out daily production plans, collaborates with associates to improve equipment, and completes work orders, personnel, and shift reports.
• Communicates, trains, and monitors adherence to good manufacturing practices, emphasizing safety, housekeeping, and quality.
• Empowers assigned personnel to make decisions within their operational areas and bounds.
• Serves as a resource, leading and training assigned personnel, assessing job assignments, methods, and priorities with employee input, and evaluating performance.
• Performs other duties as directed or necessary.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required. Knowledge of batch manufacturing equipment, high-speed packaging, production maintenance, sanitation, and distribution or administrative specialties is needed. A food manufacturing background is preferred.
