About the Role
Provide support and assistance to production workers, including ensuring accurate ingredients are delivered to the production area, removal of debris, and clean-in-process (CIP).
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate ingredients to production area
- Handle products on production line
- Package materials
- Boxing and unboxing of goods, including debris removal
- Assist with CIPs (Clean-In-Process), as required
- Relieve operator, as needed
- Perform SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for assigned work areas
- Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards at and around machinery
- Maintain accurate records
- Work in a safe manner consistent with Company policies and regulations
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Requirements
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety training, and leather skid-resistant work shoes/boots)
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
- Ability to use various tools (band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knife, and scales)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and keep up with daily production demands
Working Conditions
- Constant exposure to extreme loud noises
- Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts
- Constant standing and moving by foot
- Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environments
- Frequent lifting/carrying under 50 pounds, reaching, and use of fingers
- Frequent use of hot/cold water hoses
- Frequent reaching, pulling, bending, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, and bending
- Occasional lifting over 50 pounds
- Potential exposure to caustic chemicals
