Production Supervisor, TNFRP (Weekend Second)

About the role

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Supervisor for Tubes and Formulated Research Products – Pools. The role oversees and organizes the daily workflow and operations of direct reports in the production area for the assigned value stream and shift. The position reports to the Formulated Research Products Value Stream Leader, is part of the Tubes and Formulated Research Products Value Stream located in Coralville, IA, and is an on‑site role. IDT’s mission is to accelerate genomics breakthroughs across fields such as cancer, infectious disease, and rare genetic disorders, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and scientific excellence.

Responsibilities

• Attract, engage, and retain diverse talent.
• Oversee direct reports, including hiring, training, personal development, performance management, career discussions, and discipline.
• Approve and track time‑off requests and timesheets to ensure successful resource planning.
• Establish a regular cadence of staff meetings and one‑on‑one sessions with direct reports.
• Set team priorities to ensure task completion and coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
• Verify that preventative maintenance schedules in the CMMS (Maintenance Connection) are completed on time.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in biology, (bio)chemistry, engineering, biotechnology, or a related field, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of relevant work.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Experience applying lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual/Daily Management, and problem‑solving methodologies.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to multitask.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Professional interaction with customers, associates, and all levels of management.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, processes, work environments, management styles, and business trends.
• Ability to prioritize work, complete projects accurately and timely, and accept responsibility for direction, control, or planning of activities.
