Atlas Roofing Shingle and Underlayment is seeking a Production Supervisor for Franklin, OH.
Responsibilities
- Supervises personnel and activities on-shift to achieve production standards for quality, safety, and customer specifications.
- Assigns and maintains work flow, checks progress and quality of work, and assists employees in daily activities.
- Ensures compliance with production schedules, proper job sequencing, and setup of work.
- Verifies accuracy of work and time card information, records overtime, and maintains flow of finished goods to shipping.
- Investigates and eliminates production variability causing downtime or substandard measurements; determines remedial action.
- Requests maintenance assistance as required and coordinates activities with related departments.
- Ensures proper quality control procedures are followed and maintains efficient utilization of manpower and machinery.
- Provides training for new personnel and maintains good housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Recommends and initiates purchase requisitions for supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Prepares and maintains production reports and records; suggests improvements for production methods and cost savings.
- Coordinates handling of employee grievances with Superintendent and HR.
- Assists in periodic physical inventory and performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Roofing mill experience preferred.
- High School Diploma; some college-level courses preferred.

- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
