Responsibilities

  • Coaches, develops, and leads hourly operations within the Robotics manufacturing department to achieve operational goals.
  • Drives and develops world-class manufacturing process improvements and lean manufacturing expertise.
  • Directly supervises all work centers within the assigned assembly area.
  • Led by example in all aspects of the job’s responsibilities: Safety, People, Quality, Production, and Cost.
  • Ensures safety and well-being of all personnel and compliance to all federal, state, local regulations, and company policies.
  • Assures production order schedule adherence according to guidelines set by production control.
  • Maintains schedules and alters them to meet unforeseen conditions, controlling the flow of work to maximize capacity and effective use of resources.
  • Ensures product quality in each area as set by engineering and quality assurance.
  • Controls individual job costs and overall department costs, ensuring proper staffing and labor shifts.
  • Trains employees on company processes and provides prompt problem-solving for key issues.
  • Acts as a team role model and change agent, positively leading and influencing team members to partner towards achieving individual and business goals.
  • Coaches and develops production personnel through their respective roles, managing change.
  • Maintains organization of production areas through the use of 5S principles.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to interact with various employees, personalities, backgrounds, and skill levels.
  • Willingness to accept change and influence policy and technical changes with subordinates and peer groups.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Proven record of partnering with cross-functional management to drive cost and productivity/efficiency improvements.
